Get the spirit of a Thai Boxer!

This book is specifically focused on training. Two world champions indroduce their personal training styles and give some advice. This shows you how the best Thai athletes plan their training sessions.
With the help of this book, you'll be able to plan your own effective training program - there is even a full chapter about solo training for effective training on your own.
If you want to train at home, the book gives you useful equipment advices.
There are training plans for all performance levels, warm up exercises, Nutrition Basics, Eating Plans and many, many training apects and excercises!
As in the other book I read of this author (Counter techniques), everything is well explained and illustrated with photos to make it easy for you to follow.
I can recommend this book for just all of you that want to get a deep knowledge of effective training - what ever your perspective is! As this book is made for all performance levels, you'll find a perfect plan for you, your level and time you want to invest in the Art of Muay Thai! Get the spirit of a Thai Boxer!

An interesting read for any Muay Thai fan

Whether you are a Muay Thai athlete or just someone who wants to try something different to stay in shape, this book caters to all different kinds of Muay Thai enthusiasts. The author knows what he is talking about, having studied the sport in Thailand for many years. This book primarily focuses on training techniques and training plans for beginners and experts. The pictures and instructions are clear and easy to follow and after reading the introduction chapters you just want to start training.

What I personally liked was that this book is not all about the physical training, but it is also going into detail about the mindset you have to be in when you want to start your Muay Thai training. It really makes you understand where you have to stand to take on this sport, if it's for your benefit and in your own home only or if you want to become a professional fighter.

Other than the training plans and exercises, this book is also filled with lots of interesting facts about the sport and interviews with renowned Muay Thai champions and trainers.

this was a nice little glimpse into the world of Muay Thai

For a Martial Artist who wants to learn more about every style, this was a nice little glimpse into the world of Muay Thai. Even though most martial arts training regiments are similar to a degree, once cannot judge a martial art without immersing themselves into their training methods. I reccomend this book for anyone who wants to take Muay Thai seriously, and is just starting.
