Brings back memories of the Austrian Pastries my Grandma Used to Make

As soon as I purchased the book I made the Blueberry Surprise pastries followed by the Chocolate Crescents. Both were delicious and easy to make. I am planning to make the Faux Pralines and Jammed Cushions next for a get together.
The recipes are easy to follow and the photographs look good enough to eat!
I have been making cookies for a very long time and have found the recipes in this book to be a nice and tasty addition to the recipes I have been making for years.

Fair, but not much variety in flavors

I was hoping when I purchased this for more of the European cookie recipes that I was looking for such as Swiss/German cookies. Many of these appear to be American type of cookies. They are ok, nothing spectacular, but rather not what I was looking for. I don't find them difficult to make as I am well versed in making different types of cookies. I just wanted more of the different flavors of the European cookies that I grew up with.

Not Just Another Pretty Cookie Book

This book won't gather dust on your bookshelf! I started out borrowing a copy from the library. But after making the delicious Lemon Bars and Florentine Peaks, I had to get my own book. Friends ate my cookies so fast they didn't last but two days in my tin. The book is so well organized with photography to support you each step of the way, that even the "complex" cookies are easy to make. I can't wait to bake more of Kristina's cookies. They are worth the effort and compliments will flow!
